Nice to virtually meet you!
I believe in doing work that matters. Otherwise, why do it?
For me, “impact” has evolved. In college, that meant designing for inclusion, from accessible music for the deaf to better cooking experiences for the blind.
Today, it means turning insight into opportunity for Milwaukee Tool.
Tomorrow, I aim to leverage my participatory design and systems thinking skills to patiently make strides towards solving wicked problems.
Impact Through Design Research
-
2021 - Present
In our cross‑functional team of engineering, product management, and design research, I wear the design research hat. I plan and conduct qualitative research in English and Spanish. I create knowledge to inform incremental and disruptive innovation in tools for the trade. For example: My research informed the scaling of SKU counts in the PACKOUT storage category, contributing to business growth.
-
2017 - 2021
Working within an agency model, I collaborated with research professionals to guide clients better understand their customers and make human‑centered decisions for their products, and services. For example: we partnered with Premier Health in Dayton, OH to map the patient journey across their care network, helping them identify the critical entry points that most influence patient experience.

2017
In a start‑up environment, I took on multiple design roles, ranging from graphic design to product design to research. My research influenced the development of voice‑assistant technology that is more user‑friendly for tinkerers.
